How Can vasovagal Syncope Along With Nausea Be Treated?

Is there a treatment for vasovagal syncope? I have the some of the symptoms such as dizziness, nausea & feeling overheated which has resulted in fainting. I can normally prevent the fainting from occurring by sitting and resting my head on a table, etc. Once, I fainted and fell out of a chair.

Hello,

First of it is important to ascertain that the symptoms you are having are cardiac or not. It is advised to get your ECG done to detect any abnormality in heart rhythm. Also, get your blood pressure checked to rule out hypotension.

If all the cardiac causes are ruled out the physician may do a table tilt test to check for positional vertigo. There is no specific treatment for vasovagal syncope but avoid standing for long ours, increase salt intake if your bp is on the lower side.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
